Privacy Policy

1. File Processing

All PDF comparison is performed locally in your web browser using JavaScript. Your files are loaded into browser memory only and are never transmitted to any server, stored in the cloud, or seen by anyone other than you.

DrawDiff has no backend server. There is no infrastructure capable of receiving your files even if we wanted to.

2. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data. This includes:

• Pages visited and time on page
• General geographic region (country/city level)
• Browser type and device category
• Feature usage events (e.g. "compare run", "alignment tool opened")

This data is aggregated and anonymous. It does not include your PDF content, filenames, or any personally identifiable information. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by GA4.

3. Email Collection

If you voluntarily submit your email address via our "Stay in the loop" form, it is sent to Formspree (formspree.io) and stored in our Formspree account. We will only use it to notify you of DrawDiff updates. We will not share it with third parties or send unsolicited emails. You can request removal at any time by emailing us.

4. Cookies

DrawDiff uses:

• Google Analytics cookies — anonymous session tracking
• localStorage — stores your preference if you dismiss the email signup form (key: dd_email_done). This is not a cookie and is not transmitted anywhere.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking beyond Google Analytics.

5. Children's Privacy

DrawDiff is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of DrawDiff after changes constitutes acceptance.
